Rowton hall wedding venue is a really special place to be a Cheshire wedding photographer. I was totally honoured that Francesca & Dan chose me to photograph their wedding. It is venues like Rowton hall, which make you realise how lucky you are to photograph weddings for a living!
PHOTOGRAPHING HISTORIC ROWTON HALL
One of Cheshire’s top wedding venues, Rowton hall is a historic 18th Century Georgian house that is only 2 mile from Chester. Set in 8 acres of grounds and award winning gardens it is a fantastic place for a wedding and to be a wedding photographer.
The bride had her bridal preparations at her parent’s home. Her bridesmaids and lovely flower girls assisted her. I love it when flower girls grace a wedding; they bring a real sense of innocence and wonder to the big day. A great job by the makeup artist and hairdresser, the bride looked fantastic after she had put on her wedding dress and was ready for the big day! I managed to capture a great photograph of a lovely moment when the father saw the bride in her wedding dress for the first time. After the flowers arrived it was time to travel to the church in the gorgeous Bentley wedding car!
CHURCH WEDDING CEREMONY
I love a church ceremony; they really add drama and a sense of occasion to a wedding day. The groom was having a right laugh with his best man and ushers as they waited for the bride to arrive. A big hush as the bride walked up the aisle and I was chuffed to photograph the moment when the bride and groom first saw each other at the altar.
Lots of tears of joy throughout the wedding ceremony especially during the vows and the exchange of rings. After tying the knot the happy couple signed the register with the witnesses. They were then presented with the marriage certificate. There was just one more hymn before the bride and groom walked back down the aisle as newlyweds! It wasn’t long before they were showered with confetti outside the church as the wedding guests congratulated the happy couple!
NATURAL PHOTOGRAPHY AT THE RECEPTION
After arriving at Rowton Hall, it was time for canapés and Prosecco at the drinks reception. There were a magician and lawn games to keeps the guests happy as we shot the family formals quickly and without any fuss. We also took the opportunity to photograph a relaxed couple portrait session and we got some special shots. After being announced into the wedding breakfast to masses of applause we had some cracking and very revealing speeches by the father of the bride, groom and the best man. The bride hid her face in her hands a few times during the best man’s speech and it wasn’t long before it was time to cut the cake and boogie on down to the first dance.
Loved being the wedding photographer at Francesca & Daniel’s Rowton Hall wedding. I hope you enjoy my favourite photographs below from a special wedding day!
