It was fantastic to be asked by Luke & Mike to be their Liverpool Town Hall wedding photographer. What a stunning wedding venue to get married in! This iconic Liverpool venue boasts stunning Georgian architecture, which makes for great wedding photography. I have to pinch myself sometimes to think I take pictures for a living. It’s venues like Liverpool Town Hall that makes it a real buzz to be a Liverpool Wedding Photographer.

With so many amazing features and grand rooms, the wedding was a real joy to photograph. Check out my favourite photographs from Luke & Mike’s Liverpool Town Hall wedding photography. As it was a same-sex wedding there was no wedding dress or flowers although the happy couple had the same shoes, and matching bow tie and tie!

WEDDING CEREMONY AT THE TOWN HALL

Luke & Mike had the wedding ceremony at the stunning Liverpool Town Hall. With so many great features there are great photo opportunities. The rooms are so grand the shots look very special indeed. It was the special honour of Mike’s niece to be the flower girl and the ring bearer. There were so many emotional moments during the exchange of vows and after the signing of the register the newlyweds walked back down the aisle with glasses of champagne waiting for them!

PHOTOGRAPHING THE DRINKS RECEPTION

A very lively drinks reception at the Town Hall with all of the guests having fun gave me the perfect opportunity to capture some great images. My favourite photograph from the day was the newlyweds hugging right after the ceremony. Before the guests joined them there was a beautiful moment between them as they held each other and looked into each other’s eyes. That is the power of wedding photography, to preserve the memory of such a powerful moment.

A TOP WEDDING RECEPTION

It was back to Constellations for the wedding reception and the wedding guests were waiting to ambush the happy couple with confetti as they arrived at the venue. Some amazing speeches by Luke & Mike and some touching moments too. It was soon time cutting the cake it was time for the first dance and some great music for the evening entertainment. I really loved being the wedding photographer for Luke & Mikes Liverpool Town Hall wedding and I am really looking forward to going back soon!

As you venture further things get even more spectacular.

INTIMATE WEDDINGS IN THE SMALL BALLROOM

The small ballroom has hosted some grand civic receptions and has minstrel galleries where musicians would play. It is home to 3 stunning early 19th-century crystal chandeliers making it the perfect place for a wedding ceremony, or up to 80 wedding guests for dining. Although smaller than the main ballroom the room is still very impressive and would be a perfect fit for your smaller wedding.

EPIC WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHS IN THE MAIN BALLROOM

With space for 200+ guests and three of the finest Georgian chandeliers in Europe, you can have the grandest of weddings here. Each chandelier weighs over a ton and contains 20,000 pieces of cut crystal, and are 8.5 metres high. They were made in 1820 in Staffordshire. At both ends of the room are two huge mirrors, designed so people could admire themselves as they danced during the ball. It is possible to see your image reflected into infinity if you stand between them.

The dance floor is sprung maple which was specially made for dancing. The main ballroom is a space wedding dreams are made of and is sure to impress your guests. Your wedding photographs will look incredible with the main ballroom as the backdrop to your epic Liverpool wedding.
