Liverpool Town Hall – Oh Me Oh My wedding photographer

I love being an Oh Me Oh My wedding photographer. It’s a shame they are not licensed for civil ceremonies, although for couples it means they can choose amazing iconic buildings like Liverpool Town hall for the wedding ceremony. For Eleanor & Will, it was the perfect combination for their special day. What’s not to like? A fabulous Grade 1 listed building that has played host to The Beatles and The Queen to tie the knot and just a short boogie down the road with an amazing brass band to escort you to your Oh Me Oh My wedding reception. (More on that later) Such an amazing day being a Liverpool Town hall Wedding photographer with a fabulous fun-loving and easy-going couple.

Home sweet home for Bridal preparations

The bride had her bridal preparations at her home with the support of a host of bridesmaids and both mother of the Bride and mother of the groom. Hair & Make up was courtesy of the very excellent Caroline James Makeup Artist. The excitement was really ramping up as the bridesmaids helped the bride into her wedding dress. One last glass of champagne before the bride grabbed her bouquet and jumped into her wedding car with the wedding party, to head to the ceremony at Liverpool Town Hall.

Wedding ceremony at Liverpool Town Hall

After a quick chat to the registrar, it was time to climb those fabulous stairs up to the small ballroom for the Liverpool Town Hall wedding ceremony. The groom was looking a little nervous as he waited with his Best man and Usher for his bride. A big smile from the bride as she walked up the aisle to her awaiting groom and such a beautiful, funny and touching wedding ceremony. With massive windows, the small ballroom has beautiful light to capture some amazing photographs of the exchange of rings and the very emotional vows. A big surprise was waiting for the wedding guests as the happy couple walked back down the aisle to the centre reception with the accompaniment of Hardcore Hornography brass band who led the whole wedding party straight down those fabulous stairs to Exchange Flags for the confetti throw.

Here are my favourite photographs from Eleanor & Will’s fabulous Liverpool Town Hall & Oh Me Oh My wedding. Hope you enjoy!

Oh Me Oh My Wedding Reception

The wedding party must have been a sight to behold as they sang and danced with the amazing Hardcore Hornography brass band down Water street towards Oh Me Oh My for the drinks reception. It’s great when the bride and groom organise something completely different for their wedding. It was really ace capturing some fun photographs of the bride & groom marching down the street with a brass band playing a Stereophonics track! There were drinks aplenty waiting for the happy couple as they arrived at their Oh Me Oh my wedding reception. It’s one of my favourite wedding venues in Liverpool because it is so quirky and the staff are always fabulous. You can’t fail to have a brilliant wedding day if you decide to get married here. There are lots of Top Wedding Venues in Liverpool, and Oh Me Oh My is definitely one of them. As a Liverpool wedding photographer I love shooting in spaces that are a little bit different to your ordinary wedding venue and Oh Me Oh My is certainly a wedding venue with a twist!

Photographing the Speeches and first dance

After the happy couple were introduced into the wedding reception and a delicious wedding breakfast was served, it was time for some searing speeches from the father of the bride and the best man. The Best Man really took delight in poking fun of the groom in the best possible spirit of course! After the speeches the guests headed up the Goodness Gracious roof garden for a few drinks and some dramatic views of the Liver Building and the Mersey waterfront.

After the wedding cake was cut there was some real wedding party participation on the dance floor after the first dance and it’s always fun getting capturing some images of the action with some crazy angles with my camera. Love love, love being an oh Me oh My wedding photographer and can’t wait to be asked to photograph another magical wedding there.
