It was a real honour to be asked by Jade & Peter to be their Liverpool Cricket Club wedding photographer. Such a unique and quirky venue to get married, With a fabulous marquee on the grounds with views of the Cricket match it made for great photographs. Such an unusual setting for a wedding, it was such a pleasure to photograph the happy couple special day. With quirky venues like Liverpool cricket club its great to be a Liverpool Wedding Photographer.
PHOTOGRAPHING THE BRIDAL PREPARATIONS
The bride had her bridal preparations at her parents home. With her bridesmaids and flower girls to help her the big day was off to a great start. Hair and make up were kept simple and elegant, and there were smiles all around when the beautiful flowers arrived. The bridesmaids received some fabulous presents and the bride was rewarded with some big hugs! There was plenty of time to experiment and get some unusual angles and compositions with my camera. With some great light it was just finding the right moment and composition to create a great photograph that I hope will be a great keepsake for the happy couple. Just as I was leaving a fabulous Rolls Royce wedding car was waiting to whisk the bride to the church!
CHURCH WEDDING CEREMONY
The groom was waiting for his bride at the church with his best man and ushers. He had plenty of wedding guests to welcome into the church! I’m a big fan of church weddings; they really ramp up the sense of occasion and excitement to the wedding. The priest was very friendly which makes it so much easier for the photographer when the priest is on your side! It wasn’t long before the bride arrived and the usual excited hush fell over the church. An usher escorted every bridesmaid up the aisle and there were big smiles from the pageboys as they walked to the altar!
Such a beautiful wedding ceremony to be a part of, it was a real pleasure to witness and photograph. There were lots of tears from the bridesmaids as the happy couple exchanged vows. After the exchange of rings it was time to sign the register. After they received the wedding certificate the newlyweds walked back down the aisle to loads of applause. We had a few mini confetti throws as the guests congratulated the happy couple, loads of hugs and infectious laughter for the bride and groom. What an ace start to the happy couples big day!
LIVERPOOL CRICKET CLUB RECEPTION
A lovely red London bus transported all of the wedding guests to Liverpool Cricket club. It had turned into a fab sunny day and we even had a cricket match to add a bit of fun to the wedding day! The drinks reception was being held in the massive marquee and everyone was chilling out with a drink or two. After the intensity of the wedding ceremony it’s great to take a more relaxed approach to the photography capturing guests having fun with the newlyweds.
We photographed some fun and fuss free family portraits in front of the classic cricket club building as the cricket match played on in the background. Top speeches by the best man and the father of the bride, which was topped by a really emotional speech by the groom, he had the room in laughter and tears at the same time.
PHOTOGRAPHING A PERFECT SUNSET
With a beautiful sunset on its way the happy couple cut the cake and then launched the evening celebrations with an ace first dance. It wasn’t long before everyone joined them to have some fun on the dance floor. We got some ace couple portraits as the sun was setting which was the perfect end to a top wedding with such a fab couple.
