Wedding Photographs at Hope Street Hotel

One of Liverpool’s coolest hotels, part of Hope street Hotel’s building was originally home to a Coach and Carriage builders named the London Carriage Works. It was built in 1866 in the style of the Venetian palazzo. With stylish rooms like the Fifth and the old book room, Hope Street Hotel is a top Liverpool wedding venue to get married and to be a Hope Street Hotel Wedding Photographer.

Hope Street Hotel really is one of my favorite Liverpool wedding venues to photograph weddings. It has the perfect mix of Georgian history with the latest chic architecture, although if you are still looking around for a wedding venue check out my How to Choose a Wedding Venue.

Set in the historic Georgian quarter facing the iconic Liverpool Philharmonic, Hope Street hotel is one of Liverpool’s most stylish wedding venues. It’s great photographing in Hope Street hotel, the modern look and huge windows make capturing photographs from unusual angles loads of fun. Hope Street Bridal Preparations

Gosia the bride was with her bridesmaids and the mother of the bride when I arrived. We also had her niece and nephews who were going to be the flower girl and the page boys! The fabulous Ashley from California Hair and Beauty was doing an amazing job on the bride’s hair and makeup. The bride’s stunning wedding dress was hanging in the window perfectly framed by the perfect view of the Liverpool skyline with the Liver building in the distance.

The bride’s flowers arrived just in time before the father of the bride arrived to see the bride in her dress for the first time. The bride received some amazing wedding gifts from the groom delivered by her sister-in-law, it was great to photograph the bride’s reactions! A lovely start to the wedding day which was promising to be a wedding to remember.

As the groom was getting ready at Hope street it was just a case of popping down the stairs to catch the groom’s preparations with his best man and groomsmen. The groom was joined by the father of the groom as I silently and discretely photographed the boys getting into their wedding suits. After photographing the boys marching over Hope street to drink a beer or two in the ace gastro pup – Papillon, it was time to get back to Hope Street to catch the bride’s last preparations before she was ready to walk down the aisle.

Hope Street Hotel Wedding Ceremony

Hope Street Liverpool has the perfect two rooms for your wedding celebrations – Fifth 1 and Fifth 2, both stunning glass-walled spacious rooms with their own private balconies. Today the wedding ceremony was to be in the fabulous newly built Fifth 2. The groom was welcoming his guests with the help of his best man as I arrived with my cameras ready to capture the wedding ceremony. The ceremony room was hushed as the flower girls and page boys entered the room, as the aisle was lain with the most beautiful rose petals by the children. Next, it was up to the bridesmaids to precede the bride. The bride followed right behind with the father of the bride accompanying her toward her groom. With laughter and tears in equal measure during the exchange of rings, the Fifth 2 is perfectly lit for taking fantastic wedding photographs of the ceremony. The Liverpool registrar was sweet and funny as she conducted the ceremony as she prompted the I-dos from the bride and groom. After signing the registrar with help from the witnesses, the happy couple walked back down the aisle to cheers of delight from the wedding guests.

Drinks Reception in The Fifth 2 Hope Street Hotel

I captured some top congratulatory hugs from the happy couple’s family & friends. I love to capture these moments for my happy couples. In years to come they will be some of the most treasured photographs.

Lots of great shots were captured of everybody enjoying champagne and Canapés at the drink’s reception in the Fifth 2 room at Hope Street Hotel. My style of photography is perfect to capture lots of funny moments as the guests relax without worrying about the photographer trying to organize them for cheesy lineups.

After everyone had a drink, I normally like to push into the family group photographs which are done quickly and with humor. I then ask the happy couple to join me on a little adventure capturing some relaxed, gently directed couple portraits. The newlyweds were on form and looked fabulous together as we used the many new rooms around the new extension in Hope Street to capture some very special photographs of just the couple looking very happy indeed!

Wedding breakfast in The Fifth room.

There were massive cheers as the bride and groom walked into the Fifth room for the wedding breakfast. After a great meal (Hope street has won awards for its food) it was time to photograph some cracking speeches from the father of the bride, the groom, the groom’s brother, and the man with the toughest job – the best man. They were all great speeches and had everyone in fits of laughter, especially the best man’s speech!

First Dance in the Resident’s Lounge

It was not long before the evening party kicked off with the cake cutting and the first dance. The bride also had a dance with her dad before the bridesmaids joined her on the dance floor to boogie the night away. It was so much fun to photograph the action on the dance floor.
