Wedding photography at Constellations
Had a fabulous day with Luke & Mike over the summer at the amazing Constellations in the Baltic Triangle.
Set amongst the industrial warehouses of the Baltic triangle, Constellations is quickly becoming one of the most popular wedding venues in the city.
Using an old warehouse space, it offers a more contemporary and cool backdrop to a wedding.
Wedding preparations at Kings Dock
Luke & Mike got ready for the big day in The Pullman on Kings Dock. The room had amazing views across the river and when I arrived, the champagne was out, the sun was shining and Luke & Mike were in great spirits.
It was looking like we were going to have a day to remember!
Luke & Mike had lots of friends staying at the Hotel and had a few visitors throughout the morning, presenting some unusual and quirky wedding presents and sharing the bubbly!
Liverpool’s historic Town Hall Wedding Ceremony
I have always been a big fan of The Liverpool Town Hall as a ceremony location and have been lucky to photograph two weddings there this year.
It’s always a great experience walking up the fab staircase and looking up to the beautiful ornate domed ceiling as you head to the wedding ceremony room.
Luke & Mike did things a little differently and asked their niece to look after the rings.
She did a great job of keeping them safe and presenting them to the boys during the ceremony!
There was a great atmosphere in the ceremony room as we waited for Luke & mike to walk in together.
It’s great when a couple decide to do things a little differently for their wedding, and because I am a documentary wedding photographer I will reflect that in the images.
Luke & Mike planned to stay at the Town Hall for an hour after the ceremony and provided champagne and scrummy canapés for the guests! I captured loads of funny and emotional moments of everybody having fun with some bubbly! It’a also very important to get as many hugs as I can, I think this is one of the most important parts of the wedding day.
The guests had all arrived at Constellations before Luke & Mike and surprised the happy couple with confetti!
Fantastic speeches
The main room in Constellations looked ace with loads of glitter ball light around the room. I love the graphics on the walls which go perfectly with the lighting.
I managed to capture some very tender moments between the two of them
as Luke and Mike gave some honest and touching speeches. It can be a daunting prospect to bare your soul to a crowded room!
Luke & Mike are big fans of the Musical Yootha monthly. They asked their favorite DJ’s from the night to play some of their fave tunes for the evening party.
I must admit I went home and followed them on Spotify! They play a very eclectic collection of cheesy pop and Leftfield stuff, with some Liberty-X next to the Smiths! It does work!
A great first dance and loads of family and friends getting up to boogie ended my coverage of the wedding splendidly. I was reluctant to go as the music and atmosphere was that good!
All the best guys, I really loved sharing your special day and capturing some great memories for you.
If you have a wedding at Constellations or anywhere in the North West and want a photographer who blends into the background I would love to hear from you.
