I really loved being Latifah & David’s Allerton Manor Golf Club Wedding Photographer. It was my first time at this amazing Liverpool wedding venue and I loved every minute. Camera in hand my job was to capture all of the fantastic moments they shared with their friends and family. It was such an honour and privilege to photograph such a memorable and emotional wedding. With amazing new venues like Allerton Manor, being a Liverpool wedding Photographer is such a great job!

Allerton Manor Golf Club is a fabulous wedding venue in Liverpool. It is one of the newest venues to open in Liverpool and it is was perfect for Latifah & David’s smaller intimate wedding. The Hayloft is just gorgeous and is a perfect place for the wedding ceremony. With massive windows at the front, the light is so perfect for wedding photography.

Latifah decided not to photograph the bridal preparations so I landed at the venue as early as possible to capture the wedding guests arriving. The groom was in full flow greeting his wedding guests as he waited for his bride to arrive and the weather was ace. The perfect start to what was an amazing wedding day.

Wedding Ceremony in the Fabulous Hay Loft

The bride arrived with her mum and two sons in a fabulous vintage wedding car as the tension mounted in the Hay Loft ceremony room. Latifah made her dramatic entrance escorted by her brother and mother and you could hear a pin drop as she walked up the aisle to meet her groom. There were some fabulous moments during the exchange of vows and the happy couple’s eldest son was on duty to present the wedding rings.

After the signing of the register, it was back down the aisle to lots of applause for the newlyweds who were beaming. At the drinks reception, the bride and groom were treated to plenty of hugs and well wishes from their adoring friends & family. I am glad I managed to photograph some special moments between the happy couple and their loved ones.

A real special shout out to Michelle Peters from Bluey and Baloo for keeping a lot of kids entertained throughout the whole day. They did an amazing job!

Spooky Wedding Coincidence and Ray’s Amazing Speech

We had a very strange co-incidence as we had a whiz around the golf course in the venue’s golf buggies to shoot the relaxed couple portraits. I saw a nice spot and asked the wedding co-ordinator to stop. Latifah ran towards a tree and guess what? The initials L&D were inscribed on the tree trunk!! This is the strangest thing that has happened at any of the weddings I have shot. That really is the universe saying Latifah & David should be together!

It was time for the speeches after an amazing wedding breakfast back in the hayloft. Speeches were handled by David, Latifah, the mother of the bride and their son Ray. I think it was fair to say Ray stole the show. His speech was simply amazing and so well delivered. Mum and dad shed quite a few tears as he gave a very touching and heartfelt speech.

The drama didn’t stop there and after cutting the cake, the happy couple hit the dance floor for the first dance. They had most definitely rehearsed a set piece and looked fabulous twirling around the dance floor. The newlyweds were joined on the dancefloor with their friends and family to top off such a wonderful and special wedding day.

Here are my fave images from Latifah & David’s amazing Allerton Golf Club wedding.

Allerton Manor Golf Club is a wonderful setting to be a wedding photographer. It is a very new and exciting wedding venue, which really ticks all the boxes. The Hay loft and adjoining bar and terrace are perfect for up to 80 day guests and a further 40 guests (totalling 120) in the evening. It is hard to take bad images at this amazing wedding venue. The light in the hayloft is perfect for great photographs during the wedding ceremony.
